All Done But None (Careless Press): An irresolute, yet humorously spirited Carol Es creates a new handmade book about indecision and confusion, while offering up true-to-life stories as various options for the book's ultimate direction: no place. These miserable anecdotes and ironic childhood tales include bad dreams, avoiding school, playing drums in a band that toured with Pauly Shore, revelations of a dysfunctional family life, and rape. Each book is painstakingly handwritten and illustrated in watercolor and ink: each book an original work of art with a unique page in each, a copper plate etching, drypoint print, Solarplate print, and letterpressed handmade end papers.
