This stream-of-consciousnesson diary beagn in March '04 and continues to this day. I hand cut each piece as I would a real master pattern for manufacturing, then I write or draw whatever comes to mind in the moment. I use only pattern making pencils, inks, and stamps, just like when I was a kid working beside my father in downtown Los Angeles. There's a lot of satirical textile terms, rants, poems, dreams, and anecdotes to working in art. Personal stuff really, but people relate. I like to install them in these mosaic shapes with sewing pins onto the wall.
